Good practical continuous waveform for active bistatic radar

PROJECT TITLE :

Good practical continuous waveform for active bistatic radar

ABSTRACT:

In monostatic continuous wave (CW) radar the dominant waveform is periodic linear frequency modulation, principally as a result of its stretch processing needs sampling rate a lot of less than the bandwidth. In a bistatic scene a clean copy of the transmitted signal, required in stretch processing, is not obtainable to the receiver. That opens the competition for alternative periodic waveforms. The authors study describes and demonstrates, through bistatic field trials, the great performances of bi-phase and tri-phase CW waveforms. Among their blessings are sidelobe-free vary response, availability the least bit prime lengths and simple synchronisation. Successful bistatic operation could be a prerequisite for multistatic systems.
