Coexistence Analysis Between Radar and Cellular System in LoS Channel

PROJECT TITLE :

Coexistence Analysis Between Radar and Cellular System in LoS Channel

ABSTRACT:

Sharing spectrum with incumbents like radar systems is an engaging resolution for cellular operators in order to satisfy the ever-growing bandwidth needs and ease the spectrum crunch downside. So as to realize efficient spectrum sharing, interference mitigation techniques are needed. During this letter, we address techniques to mitigate multiple-input-multiple-output (MIMO) radar interference at MIMO cellular base stations (BSs). We tend to specifically study the number of power received at BSs when radar uses null house projection (NSP)-based interference mitigation technique. NSP reduces the amount of projected power at targets that are in close vicinity to BSs. We have a tendency to study this issue and show that this may be avoided if radar employs a bigger transmit array. As well, we have a tendency to compute the coherence time of channel between radar and BSs and show that the coherence time of channel is much larger than the heartbeat repetition interval of radars. Therefore, NSP-based interference mitigation techniques that rely on correct channel state information (CSI) will be effective as the matter of CSI being outdated will not occur for many practical situations.
