For Cellular V2X Mode 4, a Reliable Self-Adaptive Scheduling Control Protocol

PROJECT TITLE :

A Reliable Self-Adaptive Scheduling Control Protocol for Cellular V2X Mode 4

ABSTRACT:

A highly dependable support system is necessary for many different vehicular key applications due to the rapid development and deployment of the Cellular V2X (C-V2X). The current standard sensing-based semi-persistent scheduling (SB-SPS) protocol, on the other hand, produces poor results in terms of reliability. This is because of two issues: the problem of hidden terminals, and the issue of half-duplex. In this paper, we present a reliable self-adaptive MAC protocol that we propose to be used for C-V2X Mode 4. (autonomous sidelink). It utilizes frame information and RSSI to exclusively schedule resource blocks in two-hop neighbors, and it dynamically adjusts scheduling and frame length according to changes in the network environment. In addition, it schedules resource blocks in a manner that is more efficient. The results of the simulation show that the proposed protocol achieves significantly higher PDR and a lower number of the packet collisions compared to both SB-SPS and IEEE 802.11p.
