The Tango: How its perception developed over the decades. [Retrospectroscope]

ABSTRACT:

Explores the subject of perception, using the dance of the Tango, as a metaphor to explain how a complicated set of Music, instruments, and human emotions and experiences will be employed by bioengineers to design and create new styles of technology to benefit mankind. How our central nervous system (CNS) decides that a given combination of sounds causes pleasure or not may be a question with no definite answer nevertheless and isn't the meant subject herein. This column solely aims at showing how the tango, a tiny subset of the musical world, followed a path since its inception in the 1870s or Eighteen Eighties that moved from rather simple consonant melodies to highly elaborated compositions wealthy in all sort of well-handled consonant???dissonant combinations, several cadences to allow musical phrases a particular ending or a way of conclusion, adequate key conversions or shifts, including rhythmic changes or maybe lack of rhythm.
