Investigation of VSI-Fed IM Drives' Transient Performance Using

PROJECT TITLE :

Investigation of Transient Performance of VSI-Fed IM Drives using

ABSTRACT:

An investigation of transient performance of VSI-fed induction motor drives employing vector and volts/Hz control approaches has been presented in this paper. When using a three-phase induction motor, it's important to keep in mind that the motor's speed is inversely proportional to the supply frequency. Industrial applications requiring high transient performance are increasingly using voltage source inverter fed induction motor drives. Power Electronics and semiconductor technologies have made significant advancements in recent years, resulting in improved systems. As a result, various circuit designs, such as multilayer inverters, have grown in popularity and piqued the curiosity of researchers. A three-phase voltage source inverter is used to provide AC drives with a continuously variable voltage and frequency supply. Since their digital realisation is easier and their DC bus consumption is better, Space Vector PWM (SVPWM) is becoming more popular. Analysis of transient performance of VSI-fed induction motor drives employing vector and volts/Hz control techniques using MATLAB/SIMULINK environments has been achieved using simulation results.
