Vector Current Control for Grid-Connected Inverters Derived from Direct Power Control

PROJECT TITLE :

Vector Current Control Derived from Direct Power Control for Grid-Connected Inverters

ABSTRACT:

Three-phase voltage source inverter (VSI) vector current control is proposed in the synchronous rotating frame using instantaneous real and reactive powers. (VCC-DPC) Because we acquire the d-q axis currents model of VSI without employing Park transformation and the phase-locked loop (PLL) system, the suggested VCC-DPC approach has the same control structure as the standard VCC. A standard VCC can be used with the suggested technique if its PLL accurately extracts grid voltage phase angle. This technique has a better dynamic performance than the usual VCC because it takes into account the PLL's slow dynamics. Furthermore, the absence of the Park transformation and the PLL in the controller implementation means that the computing overhead is likely to be reduced. The proposed method guarantees exponential stability in the working range of the closed-loop system. Finally, actual and modelling results employing a 15-kW-inverter system roughly match theoretical assumptions.
