Energy Efficiency for SWIPT in MIMO Two-Way Amplify-and-Forward Relay Networks - 2018

ABSTRACT:

In this Project, we have a tendency to study the energy efficiency (EE) optimization for simultaneous wireless data and power transfer in multiple-input-multiple-output 2-way amplify-and-forward relay networks, where the energy-constrained relay harvests energy from two sources' signals by power splitting (PS) theme to forward the data of two sources. Our objective is to jointly design the sources and relay precoding matrices and the PS ratio to maximise the EE of the network, underneath the transmit power constraints at sources and relay and also the minimum spectral efficiency requirement. We have a tendency to rework the nonconvex precoding and PS design problem into a difference of convex programming and propose an efficient iterative algorithm primarily based on the constrained concave convex procedure to obtain a local optimum. To scale back computational complexity, we propose a generalized singular value decomposition primarily based channel diagonalization scheme to simplify the optimization into a joint source and relay power allocation drawback. The alternating optimization method is utilized to resolve this problem and a suboptimal resolution to the EE maximization drawback is obtained. Simulation results demonstrate the effectiveness of the proposed schemes.
