Research Directions for Engineering Big Data Analytics Software - 2015

ABSTRACT:

Several software startups and research and development efforts are actively trying to harness the ability of massive data and create software with the potential to boost virtually each aspect of human life. As these efforts continue to extend, full thought desires to be given to the engineering aspects of massive knowledge software. Since these systems exist to form predictions on complicated and continuous massive datasets, they create unique problems during specification, design, and verification of software that should be delivered on time and inside budget. However, given the character of big information software, will this be done? Does big data software engineering really work? This article explores the details of massive knowledge software, discusses the most problems encountered when engineering massive information software, and proposes avenues for future analysis.
