Pairing for resource sharing in cellular device-to-device underlays

PROJECT TITLE :

Pairing for resource sharing in cellular device-to-device underlays

ABSTRACT:

D2D Communications has attracted substantial research attention recently because of its potential for improving spectrum and energy efficiency at intervals existing cellular infrastructures. This work investigates strategies for matching a DUE link (or links) to CUE to make spectrum sharing partners. The objective is to maximize numerous sum performance metrics (reward) of all D2D links and CUEs when successful pairing below individual power constraints. In our approach, a group of DUE candidates for every CUE uplink for a requisite SINR level is 1st identified, that permits us to create a bi-partite graph linking CUEs with their candidate DUE links for spectrum sharing. Classic algorithms, like the Hopcroft-Karp, Gale-Shapley, and Kuhn-Munkres algorithms, are investigated for maximizing completely different performance metrics (reward) of all spectrum sharing CUEs and D2D links. Their performance is compared tp an occasional-complexity fairness-based mostly algorithm which will deliver solid sum rate performance without high complexity.
